Donald Doane, Co-founder and CEO
Mr. Doane co-founded ConnectYard in 2007 and currently serves as the Company's CEO. He is directly responsible for overseeing ConnectYard's overall corporate strategy and vision. Mr. Doane has been developing business solutions for enterprise Web systems since the mid-90's and was one of the early visionaries to recognize the need for organizations to quickly adapt to the "open", or unlimited, demand of the Internet. In 2000, Mr. Doane founded OpenDemand Systems, Inc., which has helped many of the nation's largest universities successfully deploy large-scale Web systems to tens of thousands of student, faculty and administrative users.
Mr. Doane has been featured in a number of industry publications for his technology insights and innovations, even appearing on the cover of VARBusiness Magazine, and was selected by IBM to represent their nationwide marketing campaign after having received the highly prestigious IBM Beacon Award on four separate occasions. Mr. Doane currently serves on the IBM ParterWorld Industry Networks Advisory Council, where he helps to shape the channel programs IBM deploys for over 10,000 Business Partners.
Mr. Doane received a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the Cornell University, College of Engineering.
Mike Norris, Business Development Director
Mr. Norris joined ConnectYard to focus on sales and marketing and currently serves as the Company's Director of Business Development. He brings extensive business experience from his 22 years with IBM in direct sales, marketing, marketing management and business partner management. After his career at IBM Mr. Norris founded JMS, Inc. and became a successful IBM Business Partner, focused on document management and output solutions.
As an independent sales and marketing executive, Mr. Norris has continued to leverage his expertise to help firms develop and implement viable sales and marketing programs and processes. Key market areas of focus have included document management, ERP, CRM, infrastructure management and application quality assurance.
Mr. Norris received a BS degree in Business Administration and Industrial Management from the University of Maryland.
Gene Chi, Chief Architect
Mr. Chi serves as the Company's Chief Architect and brings more than 20 years of programming experience in information technology products. Prior to ConnectYard, Mr. Chi led the development of large scale Web 2.0 applications on the popular LAMP platform for a number of organizations, including the State of NJ, Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, Conservation Fund, Organization of Chinese Americans and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Mr. Chi is a qualified PHP, MySQL and Linux expert and holds an M.S. in Computer Science from State University of New York at Stony Brook, an M.S. in Meteorology from South Dakota School of Mines & Technology and a B.S. in Geophysics from Beijing University.
